Already before the iPhone 2.0 firmware is released it has been hacked. This means you can take iPhone 2.0 (when it comes out) and have virtually an “open” iPhone where you can use on different cell phone carriers. Of course Apple has already said iPhone 2.0 firmware will give users the ability to install the 3rd party applications that developers are already developing with the new SDK (Software Development Kit) for the iPhone.
